How to reach Kumamoto
- Outside the terminal, find the airport limousine bus bound for Kumamoto city. The airport lists services toward Torichosuji, Sakuramachi Bus Terminal and Kumamoto Station.
- Choose the stop nearest your hotel before buying a ticket. Central-city stops may save a transfer compared with riding all the way to Kumamoto Station.
- Check the current departure and boarding platform on the airport’s access page. Bus routes and schedules can change.
From the city stop to your stay
Start with your hotel’s exact address. A station or bus terminal can serve several different neighborhoods; the right exit or local connection depends on where you are staying.
- Torichosuji
This central stop can suit a hotel in the shopping district. Check your hotel address before staying on the bus to the terminal or station.
- Sakuramachi Bus Terminal
Use the terminal for a central Kumamoto hotel or another bus connection. Check the correct exit and onward platform; the photograph below shows the terminal, not the airport stop.
- Kumamoto Station
Stay on to the station for JR or Shinkansen travel, or a hotel near the station. For a central-city stay, an earlier bus stop may save another ride.
Save the hotel address and its nearest station exit or bus stop offline before leaving the airport. The route diagrams above are simplified and do not replace live navigation.
When another route may fit
The airport also lists an Airport Liner to Higo-Ozu Station, where you can connect to JR. Compare that rail connection with the direct city bus only after checking both schedules.
Choose Sakuramachi, Torichosuji or Kumamoto Station based on your hotel; there is no rail station at the terminal.

- Include the final walk or local transfer from the city stop to your hotel.
