How to reach Sendai
- From the arrivals hall, follow the airport’s signs to the second-floor connecting bridge. The airport says the terminal and station connect without steps.
- Board a Sendai Airport Access Line train for Sendai Station. Check the airport railway’s current timetable and service status before traveling.
- At Sendai Station, use your hotel’s nearest exit or local connection. If you are continuing elsewhere in Tohoku, plan the onward rail leg separately.
From the city stop to your stay
Start with your hotel’s exact address. A station or bus terminal can serve several different neighborhoods; the right exit or local connection depends on where you are staying.
- Sendai Station
Check whether your hotel is on the east or west side before choosing an exit. For a central stay away from the station, include the local subway or a walk in your route.
- Onward JR or Shinkansen
The airport line arrives at Sendai Station; follow station signs to the correct JR or Shinkansen ticket gate for the next leg.
- Other Tohoku destinations
Plan the onward train separately and allow for flight, baggage and rail transfer time. The airport train alone does not reach every destination.
Save the hotel address and its nearest station exit or bus stop offline before leaving the airport. The route diagrams above are simplified and do not replace live navigation.
When another route may fit
The airport also lists buses and taxis for other destinations. For central Sendai, compare any bus stop with the rail station’s easy terminal connection.
Use the second-floor connecting bridge from the terminal to the rail station.

- Include the final walk or local transfer from the city stop to your hotel.
